On “Burning Hour”

Told at a live listening session
So I used to date this guy, he was a musician. I think so far the biggest love I’ve ever had in my life. Was intense, passionate and at the same time familiar for me. I was 19 he was also 19, I was studying architecture and he was studying fine arts. He used to live in a small city, in Greece where he was studying. The name of the city is Florina, is build inside the mountains, full of fog and snow. We used to play a lot of video games, smoke weed and get drunk almost every night. Staying till late at his studio, producing music. I still have some demos we produced together. We had a really bad breakup, full of pain and tears, drug use and alcohol. I was desperate without him and he was desperate without me. He was coming at my door at 4 AM fully drunk trying to get back together with me. We never did. Odysseas (is his name) showed me how to speak about your feelings through music, he was never saying anything. Always expressing something was a sound. This song was the last song he shared with me. And I will never forget it because the message that triggered this emotions that you might experience through this track was “the destruction with you was beautiful” I saw him after 5 years this summer but I was high on cocaine and I couldn’t speak much to him. Maybe it was not meant to be. But I loved it.
